What it means

Postgres was reachable but would not let zcube in: the password or the role in the connection settings is wrong, or the server's pg_hba.conf has no rule that admits this role from this host. Nothing can be read or written until it does.

Check the user and password in the server's store settings against what Postgres has (psql with the same settings shows the same error), or ask the database administrator for a pg_hba.conf rule. The first cause line carries Postgres's own message.
