What it means

A virtual machine is running from an image (kernel and initramfs) of another version than this zbx carries, left over from before an upgrade. zbx does not drive it: it stops it and starts one from its own image.

Nothing is lost that the containers did not already lose by the stop of their machine; state volumes are not in the machine's memory.
