What it means
The import runs in the user's namespace, where only the user (as 0) and the subordinate range from /etc/subuid and /etc/subgid (as 1 and up) exist. A file owned by any other host id shows as 65534, the kernel's overflow id, and that is what the store records, so the container sees those files owned by 65534 whatever their owner on the host.
The message counts the owners and the groups and names the first path. A file that really is owned by 65534 in the container is counted too, because the kernel gives no way to tell the two apart. The digest holds 65534 either way. To record a real owner, chown the files to an id the user can map, or import as a user with a subuid range.
