What it means

ZBX_REGISTRY_MIRRORS names registries to try before Docker Hub, as a comma-separated list of host or host:port, for example

ZBX_REGISTRY_MIRRORS=mirror.gcr.io

At most four are read, each a DNS name, with no scheme and no path. An entry that is anything else is refused at once, also for a pull that would not use it, so a typo is found before it matters.

A mirror only changes where bytes come from: every answer is checked by digest, so a mirror can make a pull fail but never change what is pulled. The lock file records the reference as written, not the mirror.
